According to Jewish tradition, the red string kabbalah bracelet is said to protect the wearer from the influences of the Evil Eye. By wearing this bracelet on the left wrist, the powerful negative and destructive forces brought on by the Evil Eye will stay away and keep the wearer safe. We had included a hamsa (hand) pendant on our bracelet. The hamsa represents protection from the Evil Eye as well as giving positive strength, power and blessings.
Feel free to select any closure or pendants. In our version, we have used:
- Bali Toggle BT025
- Griffin Silk Cord, Garnet, Size 6, 2 pkgs
- Israeli Pendant IP007
Directions
- For this bracelet, fold 2 strings in half and string onto the small ring of the toggle's ring end.
- Attach with an overhand knot or square knot.
- Continue making square knots until bracelet is desired length.
- String on pendant if you prefer the piece to dangle.
- Put ends thru bar end of toggle and make about 4 square knots which will overlap last knots on the length of bracelet. Glue 4 square knots for security.
- We strung beads to the loose ends and made overhand knots, adding a touch of glue before cutting extra cord off.
