We have
designed our own version of a leather lariat featuring champagne color
freshwater pearls, Swarovski crystal and Hill Tribe silver. Feel free
to copy our design or substitute different beads, pearls, crystal and
silver. Here is the list of materials we used for our piece.
- 10 Feet black leather (1.5mm thickness) ~ LBK150
- Strand of freshwater pearls ~ B011 ~ We used 34 pearls for the lariat. This leaves enough to make matching earrings if desired!
- Headpins ~ SHP150 ~ 4 packages
- 3 Assorted Swarovski crystals
- Tiny flower ~ HP185
Directions
- Wire wrap 34 pearls with 1 1/2" headpins.
- Measure 6 inches from one end of leather and knot first pearl onto leather with an overhand knot.
- Continue
knotting pearls onto leather approximately 2 inches apart until you
reach 5-6 feet in length. The finished length will be determined by
how the piece is to be worn (2 or 3 wraps around the neck). This piece
can also be worn as a bracelet!
- Wrap bundle of pearls, beads and silver onto a closed ring and knot onto each end of leather. Add a drop of glue.
